Work From Home

Are you tired of working 8 hours a day, 5 days a week?
Do you want to make your own schedule?
Do you want to be your own boss?
I am sure 90% of the working people will answer yes on the questions above. I am sure both employed and unemployed people are looking for jobs from home that will give them the freedom to chose their own schedule and be their own boss. Not having to deal with co-workers drama, angry boss or not having the time for their family, friends and vacations due to being all day at work, having little benefits and being underpaid anyway. People that mostly need work from home job are mainly:

  • Mothers that want to spend more time with their family.
  • People with disabilities
  • Retired
  • Young people/students that need more freedom and flexibility with schedule
  • Unemployed

The more I research into work from home opportunities the more it comes to mind that this will be the new movement, the new change in workforce. We are getting busier and busier and the only thing that comes to mind as an escape is either your own business or work from home. Not every person is born to do business though, some people just don't have it in them, and some are born with it. I remember the first work from home job availability in Europe were making envelopes, boxes or other things that require gluing and crafting with hands. Now the work from home business moved online. It is a huge market for jobs right now. So I looked into opportunities and found interesting ideas, which require time, some require money, but mostly time that if you currently working you will never find. I found some interesting ideas and web sites, and I would like to point out that I am not advertising anyone, I just thoughts these webs are good sources of information regarding the topic.

MLM companies

The most famous companies are:Avon, Youngivity, 4LifeAmwayHerbalifeMelaleucaUSANA, Beachbody, Mary Key etc. (I will include a separate post for MLM companies). We all have heard about some of them and I personally tried the products of Avon, Youngivity, 4Life, Beachbody, and Mary Key. I even went on a party with Mary Key representative just to see how they do it, but it is not my thing. I tried Youngivity when I worked out with a personal trainer, I still use the protein powder and I found it very good. I also tried 4life, they have unique colostrum formula vitamins that improves the immune system. Beachbody is kind of like personal training system over the internet. There are personal trainers that promote products and when you order through them they make money. You can become personal trainer, which is good, but it is time consuming. I have tried one of their programs called Insanity and it's amazing. I lost 10lb and I was very happy with the results but did not become personal trainer just consumer.

Freelance

Freelance jobs are already very popular and many people that look for work from home jobs are focusing on that. And yes you can make money, but it takes time to build up reputation and find clients.  Guru.com offers jobs for freelancers. The website does not have many job offerings but looks like it has more freelancer postings looking foe job than jobs. What worries me here is that the employer pays upfront, then reviews the job done by the freelancer and then if the employer approves the freelancer receives the money from the website. So...if the employer does not like the job  I have no idea what happens...
Another good website is, of course, www.freelance.com, it has different job offerings from data entry to telemarketers, writing, web development and so on.
Reddit.com has discussions on different topics related to freelance jobs.
The scam issue: Be aware of scams too for both sides freelancers and employers. There are reports of employers that can take you personal data such as pay pal, or other identity information when you arrange the payment.  There are also reports of freelancers that can steal data, such as information about employers clients,  and other data. That is why in my opinion it is better if the website handles the arrangements between the freelancer and the employer like www.guru.com.

                     Franchise opportunities

Franchise opportunities require investments, some small, some not so. If you have the money franchise is a good start because you are using the company/corporation's name that is already known and you will receive a lot of help while managing your own business, such as finding qualified staff, managing finances, and even  customers. Franchise opportunities  include all kinds of areas such as travel agency, day care, tutoring, in home services for elderly, fast food, and so on. There are so many possibilities that one has to do a very long, time consuming research to figure out what would be the best business.  I would consult with someone without investing a large amount of money. It is important to consider details such as location,of the franchise, possible customers.
Please feel free to comment and add ideas.

World Headquarters office of the President of Processing & Judging Kansas City, Kansas

Of course I won again, this time 3 million. Wow, I am rich and own billions if all of the ads I receive are true. So this time the catch is I have to send Acquisition fee  $11.89 or for if I would like  rush processing the amount is  $14.89. The check should be payable to ANC or Award Notification Commission. First I want to point out - please people always read letters like that thoroughly. Well, I do since I never win anything and I am skeptical when I receive good news.
Second: This letter does not tell you you won, rather than tells you what to do in order to win.  People can still send the letter back and have a chance to win without paying the fee. On the right side of the letter below, it says that you pay the fee in case you win and they have to process delivering the money. Here is the letter:

ANC (Award Notification Commission) Letter

Third: I have received letters in the past from the real Sweepstakes and it is different than this one. The real letter includes ads for magazine subscriptions and other things available for purchase. I actually did purchase magazines and received them for s long time on a good price. But this, this is just scam.
In the letter was included a small paper with terms and conditions that includes the address PO Box 7069 Shawnee Mission, KS, the phone number for costumer service is 913-338-1823,  and the name of the company is NextGen Inc. Here it is:

AB promotions, vacations and more...

As I suspected I guess I am a magnet for scams and ads that I do not need in my life having in mind how busy I am and people around me. I got a call from 760-705-888, a guy with an Indian accent explained that I am a winner of one of four prizes - TV, $2500, a car ( I did not understand what kind) or a vacation. Of course I did not believe him, but I decided to listen to him. On my question what I played so I am a winner, he said I spend $35 or more in one of their outlet malls (good one, every woman spends money in the outlets). Then he asked me if I am married. I decided to lie and I said I am single, but he immediately said, but you are dating right, because otherwise you cannot be qualified for taking your prize. Weird...Then he asked me if I earn $50k or more a year. I just started answering everything with yes, just to see what will happen. Then he transferred me to his manager (also with Indian accent), who scheduled an appointment for me to go in their office, which is located 1425 Tri-State Parkway Unit 130. Gurnee, IL 60085 and take my prize. I had to go there and listen to some kind of presentation, then I have to go on the stage and play for one of the four prizes. I knew this was the next not worth time consuming crap and of course decided to research first. So, according to the forums, this is time sharing company that will make you listen to some ad presentation for 90 minutes, and then you will pick one of the prizes, WHICH most of the time is 3 days vacation for which you have to even pay fees. Since I am a very busy person, I decided not to go and lose my time even if I win the vacation. I would lose my time if I know that I will pick one of the other prizes, which I suspect do not exist, or at least no one pick yet among people who discuss this in the forums.

So in order for this timesharing company to get more customers they call and tell you that you won a prize. I am guessing if you are female they use the lie for the mall shopping, and if male something else like entered drawing online. Smart right, who do not spend money in the malls or draw for something online, or most of us don`t even remember if we play about something, when and what...When people attend those presentations I am sure they manage to sell whatever they want to at least 2-3 people. That is why they ask how much you earn, because they need people with money and time to use their vacation packages. On the other side people who call make you answer their questions with yes, in order to qualify and make a crowd on the presentations, but they do not realize that no one will use their vacations because of lack of money and time.

Publisher`s Clearing House Lottery

Looks like lately scams are hunting me. One year ago I saw this ad on TV for the only online national lottery, and decided to play. It is FREE, you can do it from home, and it`s easy. However, there are so many ads in the website that can be annoying and even confusing at times whether you play the real lottery or something else which turns out to be just an ad. When you put your information in the web site there are many scams that probably catch it and use it for frauds by sending you letters, calling you all the time for all kinds of stuff and so on.

The other day I was going through my mail and there was a letter with huge red stamp on it that says "Second Notice." When I opened the letter there it was, long dreamed lottery winning letter... or at first sight looked like this. Apparently they are giving me some kind of Sweepstakes ID Number that I have to claim by calling 1-800-454-6247. I called the number, but no one pick up. The letter is written in a way that I assumes I already won, but actually this is just a number assigned to me that I have to activate in order to play some kind of drawing. Well, I don`t mind this, but why the letter has to be written in a way to confuse people and give them a heart attack by thinking OMG I won something, I just don`t understand? The letter however was not from Publisher`s Clearing House, but from National Magazine Exchange Largo, FL with web address www.nmemags.com. No idea if they are the same company or just work together, but PCH also is promoting magazine`s subscriptions. I already subscribed 3 magazines, but did not pay with credit card.

NEVER GIVE YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION ONLINE when paying for magazines, just in case, there is an option to pay later, which means they will send you the amount by mail and you can send check. Sure they will have your information on the check, but this way is so much safer. Many people complain that they give their credit card information, and then there is no way to stop charges for these magazines. PCH has unbelievable and annoying tricks to get you buy whatever they offer you, magazines, credit cards, gift cards, some kind of discount cards, but DO NOT fall for that. Magazines is fine, but for the other things it is better just to say no.
Otherwise you can play the lottery if you are patient enough to go through all the ads and annoying phone calls. But always be careful, because there are many false companies that pretend they are PCH and ask you for money in order to send you the winning prize or sell something you will probably never get or is just crap. That is why never pay money to receive your winning prize, if you won something they should give it to you without make you pay anything.
If you want more information about PCH click here.
To see that actually PCH is legal and approved do it here.

       Hope that info helps.
